Resumption of Worship

In line with Scottish Government advice, we are continuing to hold weekly services at 11am each Sunday. The capacity of the Cathedral is now set between 110 and 140. You are most welcome to join us. There is no need to book in advance but it might be helpful to do so particularly if you are coming as part of a household. You can book by emailing the Cathedral Office at www.stmachar.com.

We will continue to record attendance in line with Track and Trace requirements, so please be ready to use the QR available or to give your contact details to the elder who welcomes you on entry

There is no longer any formal Social Distance limit, and we simply ask that people respect their neighbour’s need for space around them. But we also recognise that, in these still uncertain times, some will continue to feel the need for the reassurance of more space around them. If that is your wish, please simply tell one of the duty Elders and you will be shown to a seat in the North Aisle.

Although the need for Social Distancing has been eased, the wearing of masks while in the building remains mandatory, even while singing hymns, unless you have an exemption. And of course we will continue to make hand gel available on entry and at various points in the building.

As events unfold, these restrictions may ease, or indeed, dependent on Government requirements or advice, they may revert to previous positions. So we shall do our best to keep information up to date. What will not change is the warmth of the welcome which awaits you at St Machar’s and we look forward to having you join us.
