Friends have, amongst other things, renovated the pulpit, re-
In addition, the Friends have sponsored musical recitals and encouraged scholarship. Twelve Occasional Papers have been published along with the text of the annual Friends Lecture given in May.
Future Plans
The Friends have recently been left a legacy by a member of the Friends who took a particular interest in music and it is hoped to use this legacy to establish an Endowment Fund for the Friends and provide others with an opportunity to add to this endowment.
A portion of the fund will be used to establish Anderson Scholarships in Church Music that will build up the Cathedral Choir and encourage young people in the appreciation and enjoyment of singing the great works of sacred music. The Friends also hope to enable the commissioning of new works to add to the Choir's repertoire.
