Today’s services conducted by the Rev. Dr. Alan Falconer
6pm Evening Service:
- Creche Facilities are available for use by visiting small children with their parents in
the Session House behind the organ. Visiting children over the age of five are welcome
to join the Sunday School.
- Coffee, tea and other refreshments will be served in the West End after the morning
service. All are warmly invited to remain behind.
- A Short Tour of the Cathedral will be given immediately after the service. Anyone
interested should meet a guide at the west end of the Cathedral.

- Bell Ringing: Monday ringing practice from 7.30 - 9.30 and Sunday ringing from 10.15am.

- Junior Choir practice resumes on Friday 22 August from 6.15 to 7.30pm in the Cathedral.
Any young person aged between 7 and 16 is welcome to join. Enquiries to Margaret

- Mums & Tots group: The next gathering will be on Friday 29 August from 1:00 to 3:00
in the Manse. Children under five and a parent/ carer are welcome. Juice and a snack
and coffee/tea will be provided. Suggested donation: £1 per family. Contact Christina

- Cathedral Choir practice is normally on Fridays at 7.30pm, and resumes after their
summer break on Friday 29 August. If you are interested in joining please speak to
the Director of Music, Michael Thomson, or to any choir member.
- Friends of St Machar’s Cathedral Annual Outing: Saturday 6th September going to Glenbuchat
Kirk and Castle. Jointly with Old Aberdeen Heritage Society, the bus will be leaving
the Cathedral at 1pm and returning by 6pm after tea at the Mossat Shop. For more
