Creche Facilities are available for use by visiting small children with their parents in the Session House behind the organ. Visiting children over the age of five are welcome to join the Sunday School.
Sunday School meets in the Cathedral for the first part of the morning service and thereafter in the Gatehouses. Visiting children over the age of five are welcome to join the Sunday School.
Coffee, tea and other refreshments will be served in the West End after the morning service. All are warmly
invited to remain behind.

Short Tour of the Cathedral will
be given immediately after the service. Anyone interested should meet a guide
at the west end of the Cathedral.

Tea and Coffee will be served in the Gatehouse after the evening service.

Dates for your diary
- Bell Ringing: Monday ringing practice from 7.30 - 9.30 and Sunday ringing from 10.15am. Visitors or learners always welcome. Contact Ian Talboys (01467 623682) or Ruth Perrett (01224 701301).
- Cathedral Choir practice is on Fridays at 7.30pm. If you are interested in joining please speak to a member of the choir.
- Junior Choir practice is on Fridays from 6.15 to 7.30pm in the Cathedral. Any young person aged between 7 and 16 is welcome to join. Enquiries to Margaret Downie on 703563.
- Concert for Piano and Classical Guitar in the cathedral on Monday 12 May at 7.00pm given by Despina Betini and Emre Aki. Admission £7/£5.
- Mums & Tots Group next meets on Friday 30 May from 1.00-3.00pm in the manse. Children five and under and a parent/carer are welcome. Snack/juice will be provided for the children as well as tea/coffee for mums. Suggested donation £1 per family. Contact Sonia Richardson on 316854.
- Friends of St Machar Service & AGM: Friday 6 June from 7.00pm. The service will include the dedication of the new furnishings in the Mitchell Chapel, donated through Ann Macartney.
Christian Aid Week: 11-17 May 2008
- Collectors for the St Machar Parish are reminded to collect their materials from the west end of the Cathedral. There are still areas of the Parish without a collector. If you can help please speak to Charles Morton (tel. 318055) or any elder on duty or contact the Cathedral office (tel. 485988).
- Please give generously. You should give your intended donation to the house-to-house collectors from your local church. However, if no collector visits, or you miss him/her, an opportunity will be given to donate to a retiring collection next Sunday.
- Friday 16 May: Christian Aid Week Senior Golf Open – details on posters in the Cathedral.
- Saturday 17 May: Christian Aid Street Collection in Union Street. Volunteers willing to help with this for an hour on the day should contact Jean Rutherford on 480654 or come along to the Third World Centre between 10am and 3pm.
- Sunday 18 May: A simple lunch will be available following the morning service in the Cathedral in aid of Christian Aid. Everyone is welcome.
